How does a wedding open bar work?
Are cocktails really unlimited?
Yes. All inclusive service, no counting and no limit on the number of cocktails within the agreed duration.
How much does a wedding open bar cost?
It depends on guests, duration, format and customisation: that is why we work on a tailored quote, sent within a few hours. See what shapes the cost.
Are wine and beer included?
They can be, just like the cocktails. We have house options for both, and others to plan together: draught beer, finer wine labels, champagne.
Can you serve the winery's or the venue's own wine?
Yes. We usually serve it ourselves and don't charge a corkage fee. We step into every venue gently: if it has its own wines, we make the most of them.
Is there anything for guests who don't drink alcohol?
Yes. Mocktails are always on the drink list and we always recommend them. They're real cocktails without alcohol: many are our own creations, and we create others on request.
Do children pay?
Children up to 16 don't pay. And there are mocktails for them, always on the drink list.
Is water included at the bar?
Yes, water and soft drinks are always included: just mention them when you ask for a quote. It sounds like a detail, but it isn't: late in the evening, when the caterer packs up or the venue runs out of water, the bar still has it.
How many cocktails can we choose?
Usually 8 to 10, mocktails included, but we're not strict about it. The number barely affects the price. What it affects is speed: very elaborate cocktails slow the service down, and we factor that into the number of bar stations and bartenders.
What does the venue need to provide?
Nothing essential: we're self-sufficient for power, water and cover. During the site visit we check what the venue offers. If it has spaces or connections we can use, great; if not, we take care of everything, and the service doesn't suffer.
Do you serve coffee?
Not from the cocktail bar. If you need it, we handle it with a separate coffee bar service.
Do you offer a cash bar?
Not a cash bar on its own: our service is the open bar, and a cash bar only ever comes on top of a service agreed with you. For example, a base you cover as a guaranteed minimum, beyond which guests pay for their own drinks, or a cash bar once the open bar has ended.
Can we extend the bar on the night?
Yes, you can decide on the night whether to keep going, as long as the option is included in the quote and agreed beforehand.
